Pure AirWater A10 (Galamarine) Alternative: Honest Comparison
Short answer: the Pure AirWater A10 sold by Galamarine is a 10 litre-per-day countertop unit aimed at US homes, boats and RVs. Its published figures are a maximum output of 10 L/day, 240 W draw on 110 V, PAC + ultrafiltration + carbon block with UVC-LED sterilisation, and a filter set every three to six months. The closest ZENIUS equivalents are the A12 (12 L/day) and the A20 (20 L/day) — both factory-direct, both with published cost-per-litre and filter cost figures, both with a two-year parts and labour warranty with optional extension. The decision usually comes down to how much water you actually drink per day and whether you need the capacity headroom when humidity drops.
The same machines are sold and searched for under several labels — air water generator, air-to-water machine, water-from-air machine and atmospheric water maker all describe this equipment. Whichever term brought you here, everything below applies identically.
What the Pure AirWater A10 publishes
The figures below come from Galamarine’s own product listing for the atmospheric water generator (galamarine.us, read 26 September 2026). We quote them so you can compare like for like — always re-check the seller’s current listing before ordering, because specifications and bundles change.
| Parameter | Published figure |
|---|---|
| Daily output | 2.64 gallons / 10 L per day maximum, at 30 °C and 80% RH |
| Power | 240 W, 110 V |
| Purification | PAC treatment, ultrafiltration, carbon block, UVC-LED |
| Output water temperature | 12–16 °C |
| Filter interval | Replace the filter set every 3–6 months |
| Operating envelope | Recommended above 40% RH and above 15 °C |
| Dimensions | 14.5″ L x 10″ W x 17.5″ H |
| Price, warranty, certifications | Not published on the listing — ask the seller in writing |
The operating envelope matters more than the headline number. A machine rated at 10 L/day at 80% relative humidity will not make 10 litres in a 40% room: cooling-condensation output falls as humidity falls, which is why the ZENIUS sizing guide publishes output by climate rather than one optimistic figure.

| Parameter | A12 | A20 |
|---|---|---|
| Rated output | 12 L/day | 20 L/day |
| Output by climate | 12 L tropical · 10 L Mediterranean · 6 L arid | 20 L rated; size up in arid rooms |
| Rated power | 0.50 kW | 0.97 kW |
| Energy per litre (humid) | 0.60 kWh/L | 0.50 kWh/L |
| Electricity per year at $0.15/kWh | $165–230 | $280–390 |
| Filters per year | $80 | $100 |
| Cost per litre | $0.04–0.07 | $0.03–0.06 |
| Measured noise | 45 dB at 1 m | Household range 35–55 dB |
| Warranty | Two years parts and labour; extension quoted at 6% or 12% of unit price | |
Numbers above are from the Zenius cost-per-litre analysis and the noise-level page; both list their assumptions so you can re-run them with your own electricity tariff. The A20 hardware reference range in that analysis is $900–1,500 FOB China, with a five-year total cost of ownership of roughly $2,925 and a payback of about 16 months against bottled water at $0.30/L.
Where each approach suits you better
- Choose the A10-class countertop if you want one 110 V unit for a US kitchen, cabin or boat, you drink roughly 8–10 litres a day, and you are happy buying replacement filter sets from the same retailer.
- Choose factory-direct (A12 / A20) if you need published climate-derated output rather than a best-case figure, you want operating cost per litre and filter cost in writing before purchase, or you are buying more than one unit — around 37 models are in production with OEM/ODM from MOQ 5 and shipments to 30+ countries.
- Step up a class if your household drinks more than about 15 litres a day, or your room runs dry. A family of four needs 16–25 L/day in a mixed climate and 25–35 L/day somewhere arid, where the A20 starts running short.
- Going off-grid? A 1.5–2 kW solar array covers the whole annual load of an A20 at zero marginal electricity cost, and full off-grid bundles are documented in the van case study.
Questions worth putting to any seller
- What is the output at my relative humidity, in writing, with a performance curve?
- Which filtration stages handle particulates, dissolved solids and microbes — and what is actually certified?
- What do replacement filters cost, how often, and are they stocked for the lifetime of the machine?
- What is the warranty term, and what does the extension cost as a percentage of unit price?
- Are there third-party water test results (TDS, pH, coliforms, heavy metals) with certificate numbers you can verify with the issuing laboratory?
